Caledonia cuts gold output forecast as Blanket Mine struggles

CALEDONIA Mining Corporation has lowered its 2026 gold production forecast for Blanket Mine after output fell in the third quarter, as delays in installing compressors and commissioning challenges at the processing plant disrupted operations. In a production update, the mining group said gold output fell to 17 030 ounces in the three months to September 30, from 19 106 ounces recorded in the same period last year. Production for the nine months to September also declined to 49 158 ounces from 58 846 ounces in 2025, despite an increase in the volume of ore processed.
