Ferragudo will welcome a new edition of Art in Motion (Arte em Movimento) from November 9 to December 16, bringing together artists from across the Algarve for a collective exhibition with a charitable purpose.
Taking place at the Casa do Real Compromisso Marítimo, the exhibition is organised by ACAM – Associação Caminhos do Meio, with the support of Ferragudo Parish Council.
Art in Motion is a travelling cultural initiative designed to bring art to different communities throughout the Algarve, making artistic expression more accessible while providing a platform for local talent.
The exhibition features both emerging and established artists who live and work in the region, representing a wide range of nationalities, backgrounds and artistic styles.
Visitors will be able to explore works spanning painting, sculpture, mixed media, three-dimensional art and other forms of contemporary expression.

Reflecting the Algarve’s multicultural character, the initiative aims to celebrate the diversity of artists who have chosen the region as their home and creative base.
Beyond showcasing artistic talent, Art in Motion seeks to strengthen connections between artists, local communities and the places in which they live and work.
Art supporting a local cause
The exhibition also has a charitable dimension, with 25% of profits from artwork sales going to ACAM – Associação Caminhos do Meio, a non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting children and families.
The association develops projects and therapeutic programmes focused on physical, emotional and mental health and wellbeing.
Its activities also extend into schools, where initiatives encourage children to develop emotional awareness and learn how to understand and manage their feelings.
Through its work, ACAM aims to provide practical support to families while promoting healthier emotional development among children and young people.
Organisers hope the exhibition will encourage residents and visitors not only to discover the Algarve’s artistic talent but also to contribute to a cause that directly benefits the local community.
