With quarterback Dante Moore still out for Oregon with a concussion, the Ducks opted to go with quarterback Brock Thomas instead of Dylan Raiola against Nebraska on Saturday night, per On3's Pete Nakos.
Why is that? Well, Raiola won't get a chance at his old team unless Thomas really struggles on the field because of last Saturday. The Ducks benched Raiola last week against UCLA at home last week for Thomas.
That's probably why Oregon chose to run with Thomas this week over Raiola. Benching the former Nebraska quarterback last week most likely sealed his fate this week against the Cornhuskers.
We'll see if Thomas can hold down the job until Moore's return, or if Raiola gets another chance for Oregon.

It's a tough business for quarterbacks.
Who does Oregon play next week?
The team plays at Illinois next Saturday; time TBD.
