KUALA LUMPUR: A tanker seized by Indonesian authorities over a suspected attempt to smuggle 1.16 tonnes of ketamine has been traced to a Malaysian-registered company.
The vessel had previously applied to be registered under the Malaysian flag, but the process had not been completed.
Bukit Aman Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department (NCID) director Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said the MT Global 168 was owned by a company based in Johor Baru, with two Malaysians serving as its directors.
