Hyundai Livart (079430.KS), the interior design affiliate of Hyundai Department Store Group, will serve as the official interior partner for Hyundai Engineering & Construction's (000720.KS) "The New House" program, which upgrades the living environment of aging apartment complexes.
Hyundai Livart said on the 25th that it signed a memorandum of understanding with Hyundai Engineering & Construction on the 22nd at the DH Gallery in Seoul's Gangnam district, covering total improvements to both shared areas and individual units under The New House program.
The New House is a Hyundai Engineering & Construction program that brings the exteriors, landscaping, community facilities and other shared areas of apartment complexes completed in the 2000s up to the standard of newly built developments. The builder has now expanded the program's scope beyond shared areas to include unit interiors.
Under the agreement, Hyundai Livart will develop customized remodeling options reflecting the lifestyles of residents at complexes taking part in the program. For households that want interior work, the company plans to handle everything from design to construction and after-sales service across kitchens, living rooms, bathrooms and storage areas. Hyundai Livart will also plan, design and propose concepts for the shared areas of participating complexes.
"We plan to closely analyze the characteristics of each complex and the lifestyles of its residents to deliver high-end spatial design and art content," an official at Hyundai Livart said. "We will continue to advance our customized interior solutions and further solidify our market position as a total interior company."
