Andrew Friedman claps back at narrative that Dodgers dynasty has ended

The Dodgers’ collapse in the postseason has brought the organization to a crossroads.

After assembling one of the best rosters in baseball, the back-to-back World Series champions were swept in the National League Championship Series by the Brewers.

President of baseball operations Andrew Friedman pays no attention to the discourse surrounding the Dodgers’ dynasty and whether the golden era of baseball in Hollywood is over.

“I welcome it… everything we do is for our fans and there’s a lot of noise around us. We don’t really pay much attention to it, it’s a partnership we feel with our fans,” Friedman said.

“People saying that we’re done and we’re on the downside of this run — it’s just more noise to us.”

The Dodgers spared no expense last offseason in their efforts to create a roster that could achieve the three-peat. Kyle Tucker joined LA on a four-year, $240 million deal, and Edwin Diaz signed with the Dodgers on a three-year, $69 million contract.

But the Dodgers ultimately fell short and the team has several question marks ahead of the winter. For one, the aging roster will likely have to get younger this offseason, which means fan favorites may not return or could be traded.

At age 32, Shohei Ohtani intends to be a two-way player throughout the entirety of 2027. Though Ohtani was a top player in the National League throughout the regular season, he was not himself in the playoffs.

The Dodgers also have several free agents hitting the open market, potentially impacting the impending roster reconstruction ahead of the 2027 season.
