Bode Olabisi (IRAWO), convener of Seyi Tinubu Mobilisers (STM), has called on members of the organisation to intensify grassroots mobilisation

Bode Olabisi (IRAWO), convener of Seyi Tinubu Mobilisers (STM), has called on members of the organisation to intensify grassroots mobilisation in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in the 2027 general elections, urging them to take their campaign directly to residents through door-to-door and street-to-street engagement.
Olabisi made the call while delivering the keynote address at the STM Town Hall Meeting on Friday, October 9, at the Classic Arena Event Centre, Alagbado, Lagos State.
The meeting, themed “Strengthening Grassroots Mobilisation for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Re-election in 2027,” brought together STM executive members, political leaders, coordinators and other members to discuss strategies for strengthening the organisation’s grassroots structures ahead of the elections.
In his address, Olabisi said effective political mobilisation must extend beyond meetings and social media campaigns to sustained engagement with residents in their streets, neighbourhoods, markets and communities.
He urged coordinators to organise their teams, identify communities for outreach, set clear targets, train volunteers and regularly assess their activities. Successful mobilisation, he said, depends on careful planning, teamwork, consistency and effective communication with the public.
The STM Convener also emphasised the importance of communicating verified information about government policies and programmes while listening to residents’ concerns and encouraging constructive discussions about Nigeria’s future.
He urged members to conduct their activities peacefully and respectfully, in accordance with the law, stressing that political engagement must respect citizens’ freedom to make independent choices.
Olabisi highlighted the roles of young people, women, community leaders and volunteers in building an organised and accountable mobilisation network. He encouraged members to translate the discussions at the town hall into practical action by returning to their respective communities with clear plans for door-to-door engagement and sustained grassroots outreach.
“The success of our mobilisation efforts will depend on what we do after leaving this venue,” Olabisi said, urging members to strengthen coordination and maintain meaningful relationships with residents.
He reiterated STM’s commitment to strengthening its grassroots structures in pursuit of the organisation’s stated objective of supporting President Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
Dignitaries at the meeting included Bola Olabisi, majority leader of Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA; Ademola Oseni; Oyeleke Olabisi; Bukola Sobo Olabisi; Olaolu Fawole; and Otaru Babafemi. Other STM executive members and participants were also present.
The meeting concluded with a call for stronger teamwork, improved coordination, responsible political communication and sustained community engagement ahead of the 2027 general elections.
