The self-confessed 'ambassador of Christ' knows his credibility is on the line
When it comes to his credibility, Senator Alan Peter Cayetano makes no compromise. He says his mother and father taught him never to spread gossip, because his reputation would be on the line.
Cayetano, who once said he was an “ambassador of Christ,” questions the Anti-Money Laundering Council’s reference to news reports in its inquiry into Vice President Sara Duterte’s money trail.
As a senator-judge in Duterte’s impeachment trial, Cayetano knows only A-1 information deserves airtime before the court. Just like his supposition that the Philippines has become comparable to Singapore when it comes to the safety of its streets, and his proposal to grant every Filipino family P10,000 as ayuda in recovering from the pandemic.
