Athletes from Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy and East high schools won the voting for the Akron-Area High School Athlete of the Week for Oct. 12-18.
Logan Romanini is the girls winner and Naseer Williams-Clay wins for the boys. Romanini, a cross country runner for CVCA, received 50.9% of the votes cast. Williams-Clay, who plays football for East, received 36.6% of the votes cast.
A total 13,037 votes were cast overall. Look for more on each athlete below.

Logan Romanini, Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy cross country
Won her second consecutive North Coast Conference championship with a time of 19:17.4 to lead the Royals to their third consecutive conference title.
Naseer Williams-Clay, East football
Completed 11 of 14 passes for 234 yards and five touchdowns in a 36-0 win over Firestone.
