The latest episode of $how me the mon€y, a weekly podcast by CiberCuba showcasing Cuban entrepreneurs who have succeeded beyond the island, features Erick Remedios, co-founder and Business Director of Let's Prototype. This company specializes in turning innovative ideas and inventions into fully-functional prototypes and products.
This episode, aptly named "From Concept to Manufactured Product," was released this Wednesday and is accessible on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Facebook, and CiberCuba's website.
In a conversation with host Katia Sánchez, Remedios, a Communication graduate from the University of Havana, reflects on the journey from Let's Prototype's humble beginnings—when, in his own words, "we had nothing"—to becoming a cornerstone of Miami's entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The discussion delves into various topics such as embracing failure as part of the process, likening the investor relationship to "a courtship," and the role of Miami as a hub for the Cuban diaspora, which he describes as "the capital of Cuba today."
Prior to joining Let's Prototype, Remedios spent over ten years at BusinessInFact, one of Spain's most active business angel networks, where he rose to general manager and engaged in more than 40 early-stage investment deals.
Since March 2020, he has been spearheading the company's international expansion in the United States, based in Coral Gables, Florida. This office, inaugurated in May 2024, represented an investment exceeding $1.5 million.
Founded in 2006 in San Sebastián de los Reyes, Madrid, Let's Prototype supports entrepreneurs throughout the entire process—from initial concept to industrialization and market launch. The team, consisting of approximately ten engineers and designers, produces around 100 prototypes annually, with about 80% being electronic, electromechanical, or connected technology.
For its significant contribution to South Florida's innovation landscape, Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava awarded the company the Keys to the County in January 2025.
$how me the mon€y premiered on October 5th, offering weekly episodes running between 40 and 60 minutes, hosted by Katia Sánchez, a Cuban communicator and entrepreneur who previously co-founded and hosted El Pitch for three seasons with 40 episodes.
The podcast's inaugural episode featured chef Osmel González, co-founder of Emelina, a West Palm Beach restaurant that earned the first Michelin star for Cuban cuisine in May 2026.
The full episode with Erick Remedios is now available across all podcast platforms.
