In the United States, federal immigration agents have carried out an early morning raid at the home of a high-profile Democratic congresswoman.
Investigators from the Department of Homeland Security searched the Washington DC address of Ilhan Omar, the Somali-born congresswoman who came to prominence as part of an informal group of leftwing politicians known as ‘the Squad’.
The raid comes less than a month before she faces a battle for re-election.
