The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) in the Juaboso District has supported artisans with training equipment and start-up kits to help them acquire practical skills and improve their livelihoods.
Some of the equipment presented to the beneficiaries included industrial sewing machines, electrical tools, and other materials needed for their training.
The equipment was presented by the Western North Regional Director of the YEA, Hayford Arthur Panyin, on Monday, October 12, 2026, at the Juaboso District Assembly.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Panyin commended the Chief Executive Officer of the YEA and the President for supporting young people who are willing to pursue training in various artisanal fields.
He stated that the government, through the YEA, was committed to supporting young people interested in artisan training by providing them with the necessary equipment and start-up kits.

The Juaboso District Director of the YEA, Emmanuel Baidoo, disclosed that more than 300 young people in the district had benefited from the agency's programmes.
He explained that some beneficiaries had become police assistants and prison officers, while others had ventured into artisanal trades to earn a living and improve their livelihoods.
The Juaboso District Chief Executive, Alexander Adu Quist, also urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the equipment provided and take their training seriously to secure a better future.
He emphasised that the beneficiaries needed to remain committed to their training because it would help shape their future.

According to him, the government had fulfilled its responsibility by providing training equipment and start-up kits and paying the beneficiaries' training fees.
He, therefore, urged the young people to play their part by taking their training seriously and making effective use of the support provided.
Some of the beneficiaries also expressed their appreciation to the government and the YEA for the support, noting that the equipment would help them acquire practical skills and prepare for employment and self-reliance.
