Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany is in hospital in Munich after collapsing, the team has confirmed.
According to media reports, the 40-year-old Belgian collapsed while watching Bayern's reserve team train.
Kompany was taken to the hospital by ambulance. He is now undergoing thorough examinations and will remain under medical care, the report added.
The German tabloid Bild and the pay-TV channel Sky were the first to report the news.
"Vincent Kompany's health is our top priority. We at FC Bayern will do everything we can to ensure he makes a speedy recovery. Vinnie is receiving all the necessary medical care and support, and all the time he needs," sporting director Max Eberl said in a statement.
"His coaching team, whom we trust completely, will take over his duties. All of us at FC Bayern wish Vinnie a speedy recovery," Eberl added.
