DENVER (AP) — The Denver Broncos’ banged-up secondary received a boost with Riley Moss active for Thursday night’s game against the Seattle Seahawks.
The Broncos are without star cornerback Pat Surtain II and safety Talanoa Hufanga, both with ankle injuries.
Moss suffered a rib injury in a loss at San Francisco on Oct. 4 and sat out last weekend’s game in Los Angeles versus the Chargers. He figures to spend plenty of time covering Seahawks standout receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who was limited in practice earlier in the week with an ankle ailment but was active.
To add defensive depth, the Broncos promoted cornerback Sean Fresch Jr. and safety Taylor Rapp. Fresch played two seasons in the UFL with San Antonio (2025) and St. Louis (2026).
Rapp has played in 93 games for the Los Angeles Rams and Buffalo Bills. He has 12 interceptions and four fumble recoveries.
