The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released its nationwide campaign rally timetable ahead of the 2027 general elections, outlining a programme covering the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory, with Kaduna State scheduled to host the official flag-off on October 24, 2026.
The campaign schedule, which runs from October 2026 to January 2027, will take the ruling party’s mobilisation drive across the country, culminating in a major closing rally in Lagos on January 9, 2027. Blueprint reports
President Bola Tinubu is expected to participate in selected rallies across the country as the APC seeks to consolidate its political support ahead of the presidential election. The programme also provides for campaign activities in state capitals and other designated locations, giving the party an opportunity to engage supporters across the six geopolitical zones.
The release of the timetable follows earlier preparations by the APC Presidential Campaign Council, led by its Director-General, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, who disclosed that Tinubu had approved the proposed campaign programme.
The campaign is expected to combine presidential appearances at selected rallies with other engagements across the federation, although the published schedule does not indicate that the President will attend every event.
Kaduna to host official campaign flag-off
Kaduna has been selected to host the official flag-off of the APC’s presidential campaign on Saturday, October 24, 2026.
The choice places the North-West state at the centre of the ruling party’s opening campaign activities as it begins its nationwide mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.
The Kaduna rally is expected to bring together party leaders, elected officials, supporters and other stakeholders to formally commence the campaign for Tinubu’s re-election.
Following the flag-off, the campaign will move across the country, with rallies scheduled in the South-South, South-East, South-West, North-Central and North-East, as well as other parts of the North-West.
The schedule reflects the party’s intention to maintain a nationwide presence during the campaign period, allowing it to reach supporters and political stakeholders in different states.
For the APC, the rallies will provide opportunities to present its political message, mobilise its grassroots structures and encourage support for its candidates ahead of the general elections.
November rallies to cover multiple geopolitical zones
The nationwide campaign programme gathers momentum in November, with rallies scheduled in several states across the six geopolitical zones.
The first November rally is scheduled for Calabar, Cross River State, on November 2, followed by Gombe on November 3 and Lafia, Nasarawa State, on November 4.
Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, is scheduled to host a rally on November 5, while Port Harcourt, Rivers State, follows on November 7.
The programme continues in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, on November 9, and Dutse, Jigawa State, on November 10. Akure, Ondo State, is scheduled for November 11, followed by Benin City, Edo State, on November 12.
Jos, Plateau State, will host a rally on November 14, while Damaturu, Yobe State, is scheduled for November 16.
The campaign will move to Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State, on November 17, followed by Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, on November 18, and Awka, Anambra State, on November 19.
Ibadan, Oyo State, is scheduled for November 21, before the campaign returns to the North-East for a rally in Maiduguri, Borno State, on November 25.
The November programme will continue in Enugu on November 28, Bauchi on November 29 and Makurdi, Benue State, on November 30.
The spread of the rallies across the geopolitical zones is expected to provide the party with opportunities to engage its supporters in different regions while reinforcing its nationwide campaign structure.
December programme includes Kano and Abuja
The campaign schedule continues in December, with several major political centres listed for rallies.
Katsina State is scheduled for December 2, followed by Abeokuta, Ogun State, on December 3.
Sokoto will host a rally on December 5, while Umuahia, Abia State, is scheduled for December 7.
The campaign will move to Lokoja, Kogi State, on December 8, followed by Osogbo, Osun State, on December 9.
Ilorin, Kwara State, is scheduled for December 10, while Asaba, Delta State, will host a rally on December 12.
Gusau, Zamfara State, is scheduled for December 14, followed by Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, on December 15, and Minna, Niger State, on December 16.
Kano, one of the country’s major political centres, is scheduled to host a rally on December 17, while Jalingo, Taraba State, follows on December 19.
The campaign will move to Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, on December 21, before Owerri, Imo State, hosts a rally on December 30.
The inclusion of Abuja gives the party an opportunity to mobilise supporters in the nation’s capital, while the other scheduled rallies are expected to strengthen its engagement with party members and political stakeholders in their respective locations.
Campaign to conclude in Lagos in January
The timetable extends into January 2027, with Yola, Adamawa State, scheduled to host a rally on January 4.
The nationwide programme will then culminate in Lagos on Saturday, January 9, with a major closing rally.
Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial hub and one of the APC’s traditional political strongholds, is expected to provide the setting for the final major event on the published schedule.
The closing rally will follow months of campaign activities across the country, giving the party another opportunity to bring together its leaders, supporters and campaign structures ahead of the elections.
The timetable does not provide specific venues or starting times for all the rallies. Further operational details may therefore be communicated by the campaign council and relevant party structures as preparations progress.
Tinubu expected at selected rallies
Although the campaign schedule covers all 36 states and the FCT, President Tinubu is expected to personally lead the campaign at selected rallies rather than attend every event.
Reports on the timetable indicate that presidential appearances are planned for 12 states as part of the nationwide mobilisation programme.
Yari had earlier disclosed that Tinubu approved the proposed timetable after receiving a briefing on the campaign preparations. The campaign council is expected to coordinate the programme and organise activities across the country.
The arrangement allows the party to combine the President’s presence at key rallies with campaign engagements conducted by other party leaders and officials in locations where he is not scheduled to appear.
The presidential campaign is taking place ahead of the 2027 general elections, in which Tinubu will seek another term in office. The APC will therefore be working to mobilise its political structures, communicate its message and maintain support across the federation.
The rallies are expected to form part of the party’s broader efforts to engage voters and strengthen its campaign machinery ahead of the polls.
