The Kristaps Porziņģis mystery continued on Wednesday when the Golden State Warriors announced that the 31-year-old Latvian center will remain out indefinitely due to a “health-related matter” but will be around the team.
It's still unclear what exactly Porziņģis is dealing with, a week away from Golden State's regular-season opener in Los Angeles against the Lakers.
Porziņģis, the 2015 No. 4 overall pick whom the Warriors acquired in a trade with the Atlanta Hawks last season, put out a statement on social media not long after the organization released its latest update on the big man.
“Hello people, I'm working with doctors and experts to figure out how to be fully back to good health asap,” the one-time All-Star and NBA champion wrote. “Honestly, I'm getting better and better. I just have to stay patient, and I believe I'll be feeling great again soon.
”It has definitely been frustrating dealing with some health stuff that you can't exactly pinpoint, on top of injuries throughout my career, so it has added up for sure, but we will get through it.
”Health is wealth. Thank you for all the support.”
