By Zoila Palma: Young performer Khaylin Reynolds, whose life was tragically cut short after she collapsed while performing on stage in Copper Bank Village, Corozal District, will be laid to rest on Sunday, October 18, in Esperanza Village, Cayo District.
On Saturday night, Reynolds reportedly collapsed while performing with the band during a live event.
The Youth Connection Band has since extended condolences to her family and friends.
“Thank you K, for everything….
Last night we had the opportunity to see you perform with us and give your all, not knowing it was your last performance,” the band said.
The music community has also extended sympathies on Reynolds passing.
“On behalf of the Gilharry 7 Band, we join in mourning the passing of Khaylin, a talented singer whose life and gift of music deserve to be remembered with love and respect. It is heartbreaking to know that someone who once shared her voice with the world is no longer with us,” Gilharry 7 expressed.
Reynolds’ funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 18, at the church next to the Reynolds residence in Esperanza Village.
A wake will be held at the family residence, located next to Joan Garbutt Stadium in Esperanza, on Saturday night, October 17.
