Deceased hanging on the tree
The decomposed body of a man believed to be about 40 years old has been found hanging from a tree on a farm at Moowire, near Kodie in the Afigya Kwabre South District of the Ashanti Region.
The discovery has sparked speculation among residents, with some suspecting suicide while others believe the deceased may have been murdered by unknown assailants.
The body, which is yet to be identified, was discovered on Saturday, October 10, 2026, several days after the man is believed to have died.
A resident, Mr. Appiah, who spoke to DAILY GUIDE, said the body was discovered by a farmer who had gone to work on his farm.
According to him, the relevant authorities and security officials were immediately notified following the discovery.
He said environmental officers and police personnel subsequently visited the scene to investigate the incident.
The body was later removed for burial after traditional leaders performed customary rituals and poured libation to pacify the community.
The circumstances surrounding the man’s death remain unclear.
