Amazon has knocked $56 off the 1TB SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD, bringing it down to $243 from its $299 RRP. That’s a 19% discount relative to the recommended retail price, and it’s a strong chance to grab a fast external drive at a discount while the deal is live.
The SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD is built for people who need quick storage they can take anywhere. This 1TB model uses NVMe storage and offers up to 1050 MB/s read speeds and up to 1000 MB/s write speeds over USB 3.2 Gen 2 through a USB-C connection. That makes it a handy pick for moving large photo libraries, video files, or game backups without waiting around.
It’s also made with travel in mind. The drive has an IP65 rating for water and dust resistance, plus added shock and drop durability for use on the go. SanDisk gives it a pocket-friendly shape, a textured shell for better grip, and a carabiner loop so you can clip it to a bag or carry setup.
The 1TB SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD works with both Windows and macOS, and it sits in the lineup as a core standard-speed option below the faster Extreme Pro and newer higher-speed versions. If you want a mix of speed, durability, and portability, this one checks the right boxes. It also has a strong 4.6-star Amazon rating, which adds even more confidence to the deal.
