Kenyan educator and content creator Priscilla Wanjiku Karanja, widely known as Teacher Cillah, has set social media buzzing after sharing a video of her stay at what appears to be a high-end tented camp in the Maasai Mara, with George Ruto among those who liked the post.

The Instagram Reel, shared on her account @tr_cillah, offers a peek into a world far removed from the standard classroom.
The room featured in the video is a far cry from basic camping: a spacious suite with a large bed dressed in crisp white linen, a striking orange and yellow woven pendant lamp overhead, and a sweeping wildlife painting adorning the wall. Contemporary furnishings with African-inspired textures completed the look, placing the property firmly at the luxurious end of Kenya's glamping scene.
Cillah also gave her followers a tour of a second room within the tent — a family-friendly space fitted with two beds, signalling that the camp caters to a variety of guests.
Rather than shying away from the attention her getaway attracted, Teacher Cillah addressed her critics head-on.
"Your main hustle cannot get you here," she said in the video. "Those complaining are working until the 24th of December. I have two months of untouched holiday to go."
The remarks were aimed squarely at those who have questioned her decision to build an influencer career alongside her teaching profession.
For Teacher Cillah, the holiday appeared to serve as a living argument in favour of diversifying one's income streams.
The interiors glimpsed in Cillah's video are consistent with the higher end of this offering, where design-conscious décor and locally crafted details such as woven lighting fixtures are standard.
The video drew engagement from several viewers, but it was George Ruto's like that caught the eye of many online observers, adding an unexpected dimension to what might otherwise have been a straightforward holiday post.
