SEOUL, Oct. 19 (Yonhap) -- K-pop boy group Seventeen's new sub-unit, Jeonghan X Joshua, will release its first EP, "Dreamscape," on Monday, its agency Pledis Entertainment said.
"Dreamscape" blends elements of fantasy and reality, exploring the intersection between the dreams people experience while asleep and the ambitions they pursue in real life, according to Joshua.
The seven-track album marks Jeonghan's first musical release since completing his mandatory military service in June, and Joshua's first sub-unit project since his debut.
The EP is led by the main track "12 O'clock," a dance-rock song that pairs the duo's mature vocals with a modern reinterpretation of 70s and 80s disco and funk.
Jeonghan said the unit prepared the album in a way that the seven tracks would flow like a single story, encouraging listeners to uncover the hidden metaphors throughout the songs.
"As it is my first album promotion since my return, I'm a little nervous, but I want to meet the fans as soon as possible," Jeonghan added.
