Celltrion (068270.KS) will showcase the competitiveness of its inflammatory bowel disease treatments, including the autoimmune drug Remsima SC, at Europe's largest congress for digestive health.
The company said on the 15th that it will take part in UEG Week 2026, running from the 17th to the 20th in Barcelona, Spain. UEG Week is an academic congress where medical professionals and researchers from around the world share the latest clinical research and treatment trends across digestive diseases. Last year's event drew more than 12,100 medical professionals from about 115 countries.
At the congress, Celltrion will operate a 200-square-meter standalone booth featuring the intravenous and subcutaneous formulations of Remsima, along with the IV liquid formulation it launched in Europe earlier this year. The company also plans to present its IBD treatment portfolio, including Steqeyma and Yuflyma, to highlight its ability to offer a range of treatment options.
Celltrion will also hold Meet-the-Expert sessions and a symposium to communicate the clinical value of its key products. In the first expert session, Professor Irina Blumenstein of Frankfurt University Hospital in Germany will present on the clinical evidence and treatment strategies for Remsima SC monotherapy based on real-world data and clinical experience. In the second session, Dr. Gionata Fiorino of San Camillo-Forlanini Hospital in Rome will discuss the clinical value and therapeutic role of switching to Remsima SC in patients with Crohn's disease.
On the 18th, the company will host a symposium on treatment pathways using subcutaneous infliximab in clinical scenarios. Professor Peter Irving of King's College London will chair the session, sharing clinical results and prescribing experience for Remsima SC with a focus on cases involving IBD patients with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.
Celltrion plans to expand sales across its IBD treatment portfolio by building on the position its flagship products have secured in the European market. According to global market research firm IQVIA, the Remsima product family, covering both IV and SC formulations, held about a 71% share in Europe in the first quarter of this year. Yuflyma secured a 24% share.
"We plan to broadly present a range of clinical data and real-world prescribing experience so that we can actively communicate the value of Celltrion's IBD treatments, including Remsima SC," said Ha Tae-hoon, head of the European division at Celltrion's global sales business unit. "Based on our differentiated product competitiveness, diverse treatment options and direct sales network capabilities, we will further expand our influence in the IBD market and establish ourselves as a trusted partner for medical professionals worldwide."
