KUALA LUMPUR: OhBulan! Paling Viral Online returns in November with four new categories following its inaugural edition in 2025. The awards give fans more opportunities to recognise their favourite celebrities, content creators and personalities through online voting.
The second edition will feature nine categories, including Pelakon Paling Viral, Penyanyi Gen Z Paling Viral, Peniaga Paling Viral and Nepo Baby Paling Viral. The Pelakon Paling Viral category will combine male and female actors, with one winner selected.
Five categories from the inaugural edition will also return: Content Creator Paling Viral, Filem Paling Viral, Drama Paling Viral, Lagu Paling HOT and Kelab Peminat Paling Viral.
Voting will take place in two phases — Top 15 and Top 5 — to determine the winners in each category. The Top 15 phase runs from Nov 2 to Dec 1, with the results determining which 15 nominees advance to the next round, while the Top 5 phase runs from Dec 7 to Jan 8, allowing fans to vote for their preferred nominees from the remaining contenders.
Fans can cast up to 50 votes a day throughout the voting period.
OhBulan! editorial content lead Noor Zulaikha Yusof said the encouraging response to the inaugural edition had prompted the return of the awards.
"Following the encouraging response to our first edition, we wanted to continue OhBulan! Paling Viral Online 2.0 to recognise celebrities, content creators, entrepreneurs, songs and dramas that have captured public attention," she said.
"We introduced four new categories to give more people the chance to be recognised, while keeping a special category dedicated to fans to appreciate their continued support. We believe that with everyone's backing, this edition will make an even greater impact," she added.
The winners will be announced during a live broadcast on OhBulan!'s official TikTok account on Jan 15 at 9pm.
