Canada is mourning the tragedy, Mayor Jeromy Farkas said in a Sunday morning social media post.
“Our soldiers put their lives on the line in service to our country, and to lose them here at home is devastating,” Farkas said. “My heart is with the families grieving unimaginable losses, those fighting for their lives, and the entire Canadian Armed Forces community.”
He also thanked the emergency workers who responded to the incident and offered support to the Canadian Armed Forces.
