Nandi: An Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) priest publicly prophesied that President William Ruto will serve a second term in office and eventually complete ten years as Kenya's head of state, making the declaration during a large thanksgiving gathering in Kapsabet on Sunday, October 18, 2026.

The remarks came during the ACK Kapsabet Diocese's 10th anniversary celebrations and thanksgiving service held in Emgwen Constituency.
Speaking from the podium before a large congregation gathered under a tent, the priest used the symbolism of the number ten to address Ruto directly.
Priest's declaration at the anniversary service
"Your Excellency, I declare here and now, I'm not a prophet, but I can prophesy that your Excellency, in a day will come in the fullness of time that you will equally invite us to celebrate your ten years as the president of the Republic of Kenya," the clergyman said.
The priest also cited the biblical significance of the number, describing ten as "a number of wholeness," and quoted from Proverbs 11:25: "A generous person will prosper. Whoever refreshes others will be refreshed."
He framed the prophecy as a form of divine reward for what he described as Ruto's generosity and presence among the faithful.
Ruto speaks on democracy and development
Ruto, who attended the service in person, used the occasion to reflect on the intersection of faith and governance. Drawing from the Book of James 2:17, he stated, "In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead."

He added that freedom and democracy without transformation, progress, and development carry little meaning, calling on Kenyans to continue exercising their democratic right to elect leaders with the best vision for the country.
The event is drawing significant attention online, partly because it arrives at a politically charged moment.
Several opposition figures have been consolidating efforts to unseat Ruto in the 2027 General Election, with a number of political groupings publicly stating their intention to limit him to a single presidential term.
