Czech tennis player Karolína Muchová has qualified for the WTA Finals, joining compatriot Linda Nosková in the season-ending tournament. Muchová secured her place after Ukraine’s Marta Kostyuk retired from her match against Russia’s Ekaterina Alexandrova in Ningbo on Wednesday.
The tournament will take place in Indian Wells from November 8 to 15. It will be Muchová’s second qualification, after she missed the event in 2023 due to a wrist injury. Czech doubles specialist Kateřina Siniaková has also qualified for the doubles competition.
Muchová, currently ranked seventh in the world, has won two titles this season, in Doha and Bad Homburg, and reached the Wimbledon final.
