Church news
Month of remembrance – November is the month of remembrance. We remember those who have passed away in our liturgies and personal prayers. In the parish, we remember our family members who have passed away at all masses and prayer services throughout the month. Families traditionally submit the names of their loved ones to be prayed for on a list called the Pious List. Please complete the Pious List for your deceased loved ones, including family members, friends, or others you know who may have no one to pray for them.
Service Of Remembrance – The Clonard Parish Memorial Service will take place in Clonard Church at 7pm on Sunday 2nd November, to remember and pray for our Faithful Departed. The Tree of Remembrance will be placed in the Sanctuary from Saturday 1st November; we ask families of the Faithful Departed to place their completed memory cards which they received with their invitation on the tree. The tree will remain in the Sanctuary for the month of November and we ask you to leave the memory card on the tree for the month. All are welcome to attend. The Service will be accessible on Parish Radio at 92.9 FM and on the Parish website www.clonardparish.ie

Her Funeral Mass took place in St. Alphonsus Church, Barntown, on Thursday Thursday of last week, followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard. RIP.
Our condolences also to Tommy Kinlough and family, Monmore, on the sudden death of his brother Oliver at his residence, Dunboyne, Co. Meath, which occured on October 12th. Robert Kelly, Ballydicken, Crossabeg, died at his home on Tuesday, October 11th following a short illness. Although born in Dublin, his family moved to Tralee, Co. He will be sorely missed for his enthusiasm, energy, wit and cheerfulness. To his wife Alina, son Albert, daughter Anastasia, daughter-in-law Charlotte, grandson Leo, brother, sisters, nephews, nieces extended family, colleagues, neighbours and friends we offer our sincere sympathy. Parish meeting
By now Parishioners will know that the pastoral area of Castlebridge, Crossabeg, Oylegate and the half parishes of Screen, Curracloe , Glenbrien and Ballymurn have been reduced to the services of one Priest. Fr. Denis Kelly, who is based in Screen. Being an unchartered situation, it will take a while for a definite schedule of services to be arrived at. However, the process has begun.
Fr. Kelly will meet all three parishes over the next week and a half, Castlebridge, Screen and Curracloe, Wednesday October 21st at 7pm; for Crossabeg and Ballymurn on Thursday, October 22nd at 7pm in Ballymurn Church and for the Oylegate and Glenbrien areas on Wednesday, October 28th in Oylegate Parish House.
The meetings are open to all parish and pastoral committees, sacristans, readers, Eucharistic Ministers, Safeguarding Reps, collectors, choir’s baptism team, home visitation team and any Parishioner who might like to be part of the Pastoral Outreach. Following these discussions, fact-finding proposals for a way forward will be considered and as far as is practical, adopted. People have very kindly acknowledged that it won’t be possible to meet every need by virtue of the reduced resources.
