Jasmine Jasudavicius met the media Saturday after her win over Erin Blanchfield at UFC Fight Night 291.
Jasudavicius (16-4 MMA, 10-3 UFC) upset Blanchfield (14-3 MMA, 8-2 UFC) in the co-main event at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, with a unanimous decision. Her strong first two rounds, including multiple submission attempts, put her ahead on the scorecards and she survived Blanchfield’s third-round striking attempts at a rally.
Blanchfield was a -340 betting favorite, making Jasudavicius the biggest upset winner on the card. And she did it in front of her home fans in Canada. Afterward, she said she thinks she deserves a shot at new women’s flyweight champion Natalia Silva – which would be a rematch.

Jasudavicius key quotes, UFC Edmonton
“It feels so good to have a win over obviously a very talented grappler. But they call me ‘Jasmine Nurmagomedov.’ (It’s) hard work, baby. I’m in the room and I’m competing against these guys and girls, and they’re hungry up-and-comers. They keep me on my toes.”
“I want Natalia Silva next. I think I’ve earned the title shot, and I look fowrard to having that belt around my waist one day. … How epic would it be to have a title fight in Toronto (at UFC 336)? I think that makes sense. Natalia and I have some history, so that story would build pretty nice.”
