The Dallas Cowboys enter Week 7 against the Philadelphia Eagles with a 2-4 record after losing two straight games. It’s nearing crunch time for the organization, and Dak Prescott seemingly hopes that he and his teammates can finally right the ship against their divisional rival.
Prescott claimed that the mindset the Cowboys have going into this contest is “determined” and “urgent,” according to Todd Archer of ESPN. With the club going against the Eagles in a pivotal Week 7 matchup (both teams are 2-4), the 33-year-old quarterback opened up about how he and his teammates are approaching the upcoming “Monday Night Football” matchup.
“He said the mindset of the team is ‘determined, and I would hope urgent,’ heading into Monday night’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field,” Archer wrote.

“We can only say we’ve got a lot of games in front of us for so long,” Prescott said. “Might be already past us, right? We’ve got to go win. You’ve got to go win. You want to give yourself a chance to be a winning team, to be a playoff team. You got to win as many games as you can, and when you drop two games — in particular games that we didn’t expect to drop — it makes it that much harder. So urgent, urgent to get it done now.”
The Cowboys’ defense has been less than efficient, while the offense has been up and down through the first six games. That lack of consistency has led to the front office bringing in Mike Pettine to serve as an advisor to help the defense prepare each week. But the offense must also improve if the franchise aims to rise in the standings.
Cutting down the turnovers would be a nice first step in the right direction. Especially for Dak Prescott, who enters Week 7 with 1,639 passing yards, 10 touchdowns, and five interceptions, with a 66.3% completion percentage. We’ll see if the 11-year veteran and his teammates show that urgency on Monday.
