According to Germany’s Foreign Office, Berlin appreciated Pakistan’s mediation efforts in regional conflicts, particularly concerning the Strait of Hormuz and Bab al-Mandab. Both sides also agreed to pursue renewed negotiations on peace in Ukraine. These discussions reflected continued diplomatic engagement between the two countries.
Economic cooperation has also featured in recent contacts between Pakistan and Germany. In June, a German delegation announced plans to bring around 30 German companies to Pakistan. The initiative aimed to connect Pakistani businesses with European markets. Zardari’s visit provides another opportunity to discuss trade and strengthen economic links.
