Getafe president Ángel Torres revealed on Radio Nacional's Tablero Deportivo programme that Sergio Ramos is on the shortlist of potential signings to strengthen José Bordalás's squad.
Talks with his representatives and priorities
Torres confirmed talks with René Ramos, the defender's brother and agent: "His brother, his agent, has been speaking to me. He's on the shortlist of potential signings." Despite the interest, he clarified that the coach's priority was to bring in wingers, as the team currently has six well-established centre-backs.
An option for the winter transfer window
However, the president did not rule out signing the legendary defender for the second half of the season: "He could come. It's something we've been pursuing for a while. If we bring in a centre-back in January...", keeping the excitement alive at the Coliseum after previously signing Dani Carvajal.
