Cindy Crawford has spoken publicly for the first time since the death of her son Presley Walker Gerber, sharing an emotional tribute that left fans and followers across the globe moved to tears. The supermodel and businesswoman posted the heartfelt message on Instagram on 18 October 2026, nearly a month after the tragedy, confirming what many had been waiting to hear directly from the family.
Presley passed away on 20 September at a rehabilitation facility in California. He was 27 years old. Law enforcement authorities confirmed that his death was under investigation as a suspected accidental medical emergency, with an autopsy conducted and official toxicology results still pending.

In her post, Crawford spoke of how much the family treasured every year they had with Presley, describing him as someone whose presence in the world was marked by openness and warmth.
"We are beyond heartbroken to lose our beloved son and brother," the family's statement read. "We feel so blessed to have had Presley in our lives for 27 years."
Crawford described her son, who had also built a career as a model, as a "sweet and beautiful soul," saying the family took enormous pride in who he was.
"He is a sweet, beautiful soul who loved and is loved, now and forever. We are so proud of how he showed up in the world, with kindness and vulnerability," she wrote.
The post closed with a message signed by Crawford, her husband Rande Gerber, and their daughter, supermodel Kaia Gerber:
"Til we meet again, our sweet boy. We love you forever, Mom, Dad and Kaia."

Accompanying the tribute was a striking black-and-white photograph of Presley, taken by renowned photographer and artist Sebastián Faena.
The image shows Presley enveloped in large wings, a deeply symbolic choice that speaks to themes of peace, spiritual protection, and eternal rest. Crawford credited Faena for the portrait, using the evocative imagery to honour her son's memory and mark his passing with grace and meaning.
Crawford also acknowledged the overwhelming wave of love that had poured in from around the world, expressing gratitude for the support her family received during what she described as an incredibly painful time of grieving.
