Jackson Chourio has delivered yet another big hit for the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2026 MLB playoffs, as he launched a home run off the very first pitch of Game 3 of the National League Series on Wednesday.
Chourio took a fastball from Dodgers ace Blake Snell deep for an early 1-0 Brewers lead in the first inning.
Milwaukee manager Pat Murphy later spoke highly of the star outfielder during an in-game interview with Tom Verducci.

“Yeah, he takes it to another level, you know, he loves the spotlight. He loves, you know, being in these situations against great players, and [he’s] not afraid,” the two-time National League Manager of the Year Award winner said.
The 22-year-old Chourio entered Wednesday’s game at Dodger Stadium hitting just .200/.250/.320 in the postseason, but he’s undeniably making a big impact on the Brewers. For one, it was not that long ago when his walk-off hit gave the Brewers a 2-0 lead over the San Diego Padres in the NL Division Series.
In the regular season, the Venezuelan star hit slashed .291/.351/.487 with 25 home runs, 75 RBIs and a 129 OPS+ through 127 games.
The Brewers have Chourio positioned as among the franchise’s cornerstones for several more years to come. They signed him to an eight-year, $82 million contract extension in 2023, locking up one of the most promising young talents in the league for a long period.
Chourio and the Brewers are looking to go up 3-0 in the series against the Dodgers, which would put them a win away from reaching the World Series and avenging their 2025 NLCS sweep at the hands of Los Angeles.
