What the Victoria's Secret stars looked like at the start of their careers and their latest runway look – see their jaw-dropping transformations and outrageous outfits

Gisele Bündchen made her Victoria's Secret debut in 1999 at just 19 years old, walking in an ethereal nightgown that dramatically flared out behind her – proving herself a talented model already.

She last walked for the brand in 2006 at their 11th annual Hollywood show, soon after ending her contract. Gisele retired from the industry in 2015 and now enjoys time in Miami Beach with her family. 

Miranda Kerr first walked the Victoria's Secret runway in 2006 at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles, carrying a green megaphone emblazoned with the words 'Love Pink'. The next year, she officially joined the brand as an Angel.

Six years later, she made her last appearance on the Victoria's Secret runway, wearing a suitably standout get-up with white feathered wings to match.

Adriana Lima made her Victoria's Secret runway debut in 1999 and officially joined the brand as an Angel in 2000. She was the longest running Angel, walking for the brand until November 8 2018.

But Adriana didn't forget her wings and returned for the brand revival in 2024 and is due to model in the 2026 fashion show.

Heidi Klum is now an icon in the modelling industry, but in 1997 she set foot on the Victoria's Secret runway for the very first time at 24 years old.

She last appeared for the brand in 2009, when the model was 36 years old, and announced her departure the following year, totalling 13 years of working with Victoria's Secret.

Candice Swanepoel first worked her way down the Victoria's Secret runway in 2007 and is still active with the brand today. 

Fans will be delighted to hear the model is confirmed for the 2026 show, following appearances at the 2024 and 2025 revivals. 

She might be better known as the judge of America's Next Top Model – and its ensuing headline-hitting documentary – but before that, Tyra Banks was an official Angel as of 1997. In the mid '90s she also made history as one of the brand's first Black contract and catalogue cover models.

Tyra walked for the Victoria's Secret runway in 2005 before retiring, only to make a grand return almost 20 years later for the brand's 2024 revival show where she closed it out. 

Alessandra Ambrosio made her Victoria's Secret Fashion Show debut in 2000 and initially retired from the runway in 2017 after a show in Shanghai.

But she was happy to don her wings for the 2024 revival and continued to walk for the brand into the following year.
