TL;DR: Cancel Microsoft 365 and get a Microsoft Office 2024 Pro lifetime license for the same price, just $49.97.
Microsoft 365’s recurring fee may seem like a necessary expense for professionals, but it isn’t. Rather than paying $99.99 per year for Microsoft 365, you can now get the same apps for life with a Microsoft Office lifetime license, and it’s only $49.97 (reg. $249.99).
What’s included?
This suite gives you lifetime access to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote. Access is in there too, which most of the lighter Office editions leave out. If you’ve ever built an internal database for tracking inventory, clients, or compliance reporting, you know what that’s worth on its own. Excel includes refined data analysis tools for financial modeling and forecasting, and the whole suite now supports a proper dark mode for the late-night working hours that come with any deadline-driven job.
Unlike Microsoft 365, this version won’t change underneath you. The tools, menus, and behavior you see on day one are the same a year later, with regular security updates from Microsoft along the way. For anyone working under audit requirements or change-control processes, that kind of stability is worth more than the latest feature drop pushed out without warning. The software also runs on modest hardware, so an older office laptop won’t need a refresh just to handle it.
The license attaches to the PC itself, not your Microsoft account, so the software stays with the machine instead of following a user profile across devices. Everything runs locally, with no cloud dependencies that can break the moment your internet does. You’ll need to redeem your code within seven days of buying. After that, it sits on that PC for the life of the machine, with no renewal email next year and no Microsoft 365 charges showing up on the card.
Right now, it’s only $49.97 to get a Microsoft Office 2024 Pro Lifetime License.
