She finished at 10-under 278 at Sheshan Golf Club in Shanghai on Sunday, one stroke behind winner Ruoning Yin of China, who finished at 11-under 277.
Choi, who joined the LPGA Tour in 2022, held the outright lead through three rounds but was overtaken on the final day, leaving her still seeking her first LPGA title.

Ryu Hae-ran remained the highest-ranked South Korean at No. 3. Kim Hyo-joo was sixth and Kim Sei-young ninth, giving South Korea three players in the top 10.
Ma Seo-young, who earned her first career victory at the Iceberg Golf-Seoul Shinmun Open on the KLPGA Tour on Sunday, jumped 152 places to No. 186.
There was little change at the top of the rankings. Nelly Korda of the United States remained No. 1, followed by Jeeno Thitikul of Thailand, Ryu and Miyu Yamashita of Japan at Nos. 2 through 4, respectively.
