With the Houston Texans scoring a big last-second win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in London, England, on Sunday, 34-31, the team was led by another impressive outing from quarterback C.J. Stroud. The win for the Texans over the Jaguars also featured the debut of Marvin Harrison Jr., after he was traded by the Arizona Cardinals, as Stroud spoke about reuniting with Harrison.
The reunion comes from Stroud and Harrison’s time with the Ohio State Buckeyes as they played with each other for two seasons in 2021 and 2022. In his debut, Harrison recorded three catches for 34 yardsm with Stroud saying after the win that “it felt like old times.”
“I thought he looked great. We’ll get him more touches going forward,” Stroud said, according to Aaron Wilson.

For Stroud overall, he threw for 312 yards to go along with three touchdown passes and one interception in the crucial AFC South win, as the 25-year-old is amid a standout season.
“Very happy, joyful,” Stroud said, via Wilson. “Joy is a choice.”
There’s no denying that Stroud has a plethora of weapons to choose from in the offense, as aside from Harrison, Nico Collins had three catches for 74 yards, Jaylin Noel led the day with four receptions for 107 yards and a touchdown, and Dalton Schultz had four catches for 33 yards.
This is still without Tank Dell, who remains on Houston’s injured reserve, still recovering from a severe knee injury in December of 2024, as Stroud says “it’s nice” to have all the offensive weaponry.
C.J. Stroud expresses “hope” for the Texans
The win for the Texans is their second straight, as Stroud would speak on the “hope” he has for the team moving forward as the team progresses in the season.
“I have all the hope in our team. The best thing we’ve done is stay locked in with one another. You only focus on one thing at a time. Whatever you do, got to be where your feet are’
At any rate, Stroud looks to further the rapport with Harrison and lead the team to a third straight win on Oct. 25 against the New York Giants.
