The end of the Utah regular season means a breather for the top teams in the Beehive State and a chance to recalibrate the High School On SI Mountain West high school football Top 25 rankings.
In doing so, we flipped our top two Utah teams, moving Mountain Ridge, which has been the top team in the state’s top division all year, into the top spot in the region and dropping 4A Ridgeline to No. 3 behind Bishop Kelly, Idaho’s reigning 5A state champion.
Three teams dropped out of the rankings this week — Morgan and Lehi out of Utah and Billings Central Catholic of Montana — making the way for Box Elder (UT) to return and Boise (ID) and Ellendale/Edgeley/Kulm (ND) to debut.
Here are this week’s Mountain West high school football Top 25 rankings, bringing together the best teams from Utah, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota and South Dakota.
