Here’s the updated injury report for Week 7’s game between the New Orleans Saints (2-4) and the Pittsburgh Steelers (4-2). The Saints mostly shared good news; rookie running back CJ Donaldson (shoulder) upgraded to full participation while key defenders like linebacker Kaden Elliss (calf) and edge rusher Anfernee Jennings (knee) continued to work on a limited basis. The only Saints player who didn’t practice due to an injury was right guard Cesar Ruiz (knee).
However, two veterans did miss practice on Thursday. Kicker Daniel Carlson was absent again due to a personal matter, and defensive lineman Davon Godchaux received his regularly scheduled day off. Expect Godchaux to return to practice tomorrow. If Carlson can’t play this week, the Saints could activate practice squad kicker Charlie Smyth in his stead.
