The Spark 50s 5G is the new affordable 5G smartphone from Tecno, featuring a 120 Hz display and a large 6,500 mAh battery. The smartphone ships with a horizontal pill-shaped camera module and burgundy red and breeze blue color options. It will be available for purchase in India starting October 20.
Yesterday (15th Oct 2026), itel, another sub-brand of Transsion Holdings, launched the Citi 30 5G smartphone in India. Now, Transsion’s Tecno brand has introduced its latest Spark 50s 5G smartphone in the country. Interestingly, both smartphones come with a similar design, although their specifications differ. The Spark 50s features a flat rear panel and a horizontal pill-shaped camera island that gives it a similar appearance to Google’s latest generation Pixel 11 smartphone.
However, unlike the triple rear camera setup on the flagship Pixel 11 (curr. at $899 on Amazon), you get a single 50 MP rear camera complemented by an LED flash. Upfront, there’s an 8 MP shooter for selfies and video shots. The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 processor paired with up to 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, which is further expandable up to 2 TB via microSD card.
A 6,500 mAh battery powers the entire unit and supports 45 W wired charging. The software side is covered by HiOS 16 based on Android 16. However, there’s no word on its software support from the brand. It also offers IP64 Pro-rated dust and water resistance and MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 4x4 MIMO antenna technology, GPS, and Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity.
Available in burgundy red and breeze blue color options, the Tecno Spark 50s starts at ₹19,999 (~$225) for the base 6 GB + 128 GB model, and the 8 GB + 128 GB variant is priced at ₹22,999 (~$260). The device will be available in India through Amazon and offline retail stores starting October 20, 2026.
