The IDF killed a Hamas terrorist who kidnapped 22-year-old Shani Louk during the October 7 massacre in an airstrike on the Jabalya area of the Gaza Strip, the military announced on Tuesday.
Hamas terrorist Tamer Mohammad Ibrahim Al-Zabaq, who infiltrated Israeli territory on October 7 and participated in the massacre, was killed in the strike on Monday.
In the aftermath of October 7, 2023, Al-Zabaq advanced terrorist attacks against Israeli troops and attempted to rebuild Hamas terrorist infrastructure in Gaza, according to the IDF.
Louk kidnapped from Nova music festival during Oct. 7 massacre
Louk, a German-Israeli dual citizen and tattoo artist, attended the Nova music festival near Re’im on October 7. She was kidnapped during the massacre and was believed to have been alive when she was brought to Gaza.
On October 7, footage of Hamas terrorists transporting Louk’s partially clothed body through the streets of Gaza in the back of a pickup truck was widely spread, raising concern over her condition.
In late October 2023, forensic examiners confirmed Louk's death after they uncovered and identified a piece of her skull.
In May 2024, IDF soldiers operating in Gaza located Louk’s remains and returned her to Israel for burial.
