The poll, which captures the political mood of Gen Z and Millennial Kenyans ahead of the 2027 General Election, also found that a majority of respondents believe the country is currently moving in the wrong direction.
Cost of living pressures, unemployment, corruption, high taxation, insecurity and poor leadership were cited as the primary concerns fuelling public dissatisfaction, particularly among younger Kenyans who continue to face limited job opportunities and rising daily expenses.

On political influence, the survey places Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, former President Uhuru Kenyatta and Embakasi East MP Babu Owino at the top of the rankings. Sudi, Oburu and Duale occupy the opposite end of that spectrum.
Can William Ruto defeat Edwin Sifuna in 2027
The findings also point to what could be a closely contested presidential race. In a hypothetical election held today, President William Ruto would command 26% support, with Sifuna just one percentage point behind at 25%.
Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka follows at 11%, former Interior CS Fred Matiang'i at 9%, and former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua at 7%.
Sifuna's position in the survey suggests he is emerging as a notable political force, particularly as younger voters grow more engaged in shaping Kenya's electoral landscape.
Research 8020 notes that opinion polls reflect voter sentiment at the time of data collection and should not be read as forecasts of the final election outcome.
