Colombo, Oct 25 (Daily Mirror) - The continuous satyagraha campaign demanding the release of Venerable Galagodaatte Gnanasara Thero, held at Viharamahadevi Park in Colombo, has been temporarily suspended, Venerable Ulapane Sumangala Thero said today (25).
Addressing the media this afternoon alongside the Buddhist monks participating in the satyagraha, Ven. Sumangala Thero said the decision was taken following information that the Mahanayake Theros of the Three Nikayas were intervening to secure the release of Ven. Gnanasara Thero.
The campaign had been staged to demand the release of the Bodu Bala Sena General Secretary, Ven. Galagodaatte Gnanasara Thero.
