Shin Ramyun, South Korea's representative instant noodles that has entered over 100 countries worldwide, will reveal its record of challenges and innovations in the heart of Manhattan, New York, in celebration of its 40th anniversary.
Nongshim announced that it will participate in the K-startup festival 'KOOM (Dream) Week 2026' held in the Flatiron district of New York to operate the 'Nongshim Pavilion' booth themed around Shin Ramyun. This event will run for five days from Oct. 14 to .18, and Nongshim plans to solidify its status as a global brand by participating for the second consecutive year following last year.
The Nongshim Pavilion is decorated as a space to introduce the heritage and global competitiveness of Shin Ramyun. The core is to share the experience of challenge and innovation in the process of growing Shin Ramyun into a world-class brand. This was designed with the intention of delivering growth potential and inspiration to startup founders and investors who are pioneering the future.
BuildBlock, an official partner of UKF, was in charge of the design and construction of the event space. Through this exhibition, Nongshim plans to go beyond simple product promotion and imprint the tangible and intangible values of Shin Ramyun as a successful model of a K-brand on local experts.
On 23rd Street, outside the exhibition hall, practical experience programs for local consumers in New York will be held. Nongshim will introduce unique menus that reinterpret Nongshim products through a food truck in collaboration with the New York restaurant brand 'Everydaily'.
The sales menu includes Shin Ramyun Tonkatsu Burger, Chapagetti Tteokbokki, and Shin Ramyun Toomba Tteokbokki. The strategy is to increase brand intimacy by providing visitors with a unique K-food experience through a menu composition that combines familiar products with local food culture.
KOOM Week 2026 is an event hosted by UKF, the largest network of Korean founders and investors in New York. This year, various programs such as pop-up exhibitions, Investor Day, and K-pop performances will be held around Manhattan from Oct. 12 to 18. The event held in Brooklyn last year received a great response with about 13,000 people visiting.
An official from Nongshim explained, "We are now able to make the heritage of Shin Ramyun known to founders and investors in New York, where K-brands and K-culture converge," and added, "We will continue to spread the spirit of Nongshim on the global stage through various touchpoints in the future."
