Xanadu, a photonic quantum computing company, has secured up to $10 million in additional DARPA funding through the Quantum Benchmarking Initiative (QBI). This one-year contract extension will support Xanadu's hardware and software development, particularly for its fault-tolerant photonic architecture and the PennyLane open-source quantum software framework. The funding aims to accelerate the development of practical, fault-tolerant quantum computing for various industrial and government applications.
