The social media personality reflected on his journey with Aliu Musa, an aviation enthusiast who once made local drones by hand while trying to find his way in life.
In a post on Instagram, Abiola recalled meeting Musa on January 21, 2023, describing him as a young man with a passion for aviation but an uncertain future.
Musa had the dream of becoming a pilot, but he did not know how to turn his passion into a career.
Abiola said he decided to believe in the young man, support him and help him take the next step towards achieving his ambitions.
Since their meeting, Musa has progressed from making homemade drones to pursuing aviation training, becoming a private pilot and, most recently, achieving the milestone of a commercial pilot.
Reflecting on the transformation, the content creator said he was immensely proud of how far Musa had come, noting that looking at his old photographs reminded him of the power of believing in another person's potential.
"Aliu, I am extremely proud of you. And I am proud to stand beside you today and say, 'I remember where this journey started,'" he wrote.
Cute Abiola also revealed that becoming a pilot had been his own childhood dream, one he had held onto since primary school but ultimately did not achieve.
Despite not pursuing that ambition himself, he said helping Musa realise the same dream had given him a different kind of fulfilment.
"I couldn't become a pilot as I dreamed of when I was in primary school, but today, I'm grateful that I could help make someone else's dream of becoming a pilot a reality," he shared.
He added that life does not always grant people the dreams they pray for, but sometimes allows them to help someone else achieve theirs.
The story has highlighted the impact that mentorship, encouragement and practical support can have on young people pursuing ambitious careers.
For Musa, the journey from building local drones to becoming a commercial pilot represents a significant professional milestone.
For Cute Abiola, it is also a reminder that a childhood dream can take an unexpected turn and still find fulfilment through another person's success.
