Kiturami Boiler is selling the Carbon Mat AI Ondol, a heating mat that automatically adjusts warmth by detecting a user's sleep patterns and absence from the bed, through television home shopping channels.
The company said on the 13th that it aired a program for the 2027 third-generation Carbon Mat AI Ondol on GS Shop's TV channel on the 12th. Two more 60-minute sales programs are scheduled on the same channel on the 22nd and the 28th, each beginning at 6:35 p.m.
The 2027 model is equipped with what the company calls an AI sleep control system and an AI automatic temperature system. The sleep control system analyzes a user's preferred temperature and usage hours to adjust the mat's temperature. The temperature system switches to power-saving operation when the user leaves the bed during sleep and returns to the previous AI mode when it detects the user coming back. Both systems have completed testing by the Korea Testing Certification (KTC) for applying appropriate sleep temperatures, calculating sleep duration and accurately detecting when a user leaves and returns.
The heating wires use what the company calls aramid carbon wires, made with aramid fiber that is five times stronger than steel. The wires have also passed an 800,000-cycle bending test. The mat fabric blends Tencel and Aero Silver and has received washable certification allowing up to five machine washes.
Marking the product's home shopping debut, Kiturami Boiler is offering buyers during the broadcasts either 24-month interest-free installment payments or a 10,000 won discount for lump-sum payment. The company also plans to give away carbon mats to three randomly selected customers per program. In addition, its premium Carbon Mat Ondol KME series will be sold through NS Home Shopping in five programs between the 18th and the 30th.
