Gurpreet Singh, 30, of Sydney, had pleaded not guilty after he was charged with two counts of sexual assault involving the same alleged female victim.
At the onset of his trial in Sydney provincial court, Singh changed his plea to guilty after one of the sexual assault charges was amended to assault and the second sexual assault charge was dismissed.
He was sentenced to 12 months of probation and handed a conditional discharge, which means he will not have a criminal record if he abides by the conditions of his probation.
