I may have to finish it off, or maybe they’ll make a deal, says the US president.

US President Donald Trump has said Washington could launch a military strike on Iran as soon as "tomorrow" or reach a new "big, beautiful" agreement with Tehran, as the US weighs its next move in the unresolved conflict, reports Anadolu Agency.
"We're thinking about doing it, and maybe tomorrow," Trump told reporters on Saturday (24 October) when asked about the possibility of another attack on Iran.
Asked whether he had made a decision, Trump said he would not disclose his plans, while indicating that negotiations remained an option.
Trump said Iran could avoid further military action by reaching an agreement with Washington, but questioned whether Tehran would honour any deal.
"They want to make a deal, but the problem is, will they hold the deal?" he said.
The US president said his objective was to ensure that Iran could not develop nuclear weapons in the future. He argued that an earlier US operation involving B-2 bombers was insufficient to guarantee a lasting outcome.
"I've got to make it permanent," Trump said, adding that this was the only reason for pursuing further action.
Trump also claimed that oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz had increased compared with levels before the war began, but did not provide figures to support the assertion.
He offered no definitive timeline for the next steps, leaving both military action and negotiations on the table.
"I may have to finish it off, or maybe they'll make a deal," Trump said. "But I'm not sure. Either way, we win."
The US-Israeli war on Iran, which began in February and triggered a wider regional conflict, remains unresolved despite a ceasefire and efforts to finalise a peace agreement.
