DURHAM, N.C. — Alicia Keys was in attendance for Duke basketball's exhibition win against Tennessee on Tuesday, Oct. 20 at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
The 17-time Grammy Award winner sat behind the Blue Devils bench with her 16-year-old son, Egypt Dean, as the No. 2 Blue Devils defeated the No. 8/9 Volunteers 103-64.
Dean is the son of Keys and rapper-producer Swizz Beatz. The 6-foot-4 shooting guard recently transferred from La Jolla Country Day in San Diego to Long Island Lutheran in Brookville, New York. During the 2025-26 season, Dean averaged 8.4 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.6 steals per game.
Dean also spent time with the Cameron Crazies and held up the Cammie doll, a tradition passed down among members of Duke’s student section.
Duke closes out its preseason slate on the road at Kansas on Sunday, Oct. 25. The Blue Devils officially open their 2026-27 season on Nov. 2 against Army at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
